Thomas “Dr. Tommy” Henrich was born in San Pedro, CA on March 26, 1943. He passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, in Kingman, Arizona.
He was the second of 5 children. As a child, he was known very well around his neighborhood as a bit of a rascal. As a teenager he was known as a bit of a rascal and a cad. Moms and dads warned their daughters about those Henrich boys.
That all changed when he met the love of his life in 1961. He and Judy were introduced to each other by a mutual friend. They started dating in 1964 and married on February 6, 1965 and for the next 61 years were inseparable. Together they cracked the code and built a life and legacy to be envied and admired. The look of absolute love and adoration on his face when he looked at her never changed. People of all ages stopped and watched when they danced.
The life they created was built on hard work and love. They rolled the dice, left everything they knew behind and moved out to an unknown town in the middle of nowhere called Temecula in 1972. The soul crushing work weeks were hard on him, but he had a vision and kept at it, “head down legs pumping” is what he would always say. He never took life for granted and still managed to live life to its fullest. He saw the best in people and gave generously. He spent countless hours with his kids, backpacked, hunted, rode motorcycles and traveled the world with his beautiful bride at his side.
Tom was not a doctor. He was more of a composer. But instead of writing notes on paper to be played by instruments, his music was laughter. His baton was his wit and humor, and he led us all spellbound through the aria of his mind. He didn’t tell jokes; he gathered the notes from the people around him and brought them into his orbit like the sun to the planets. The masterpieces he created with these notes were different every time yet remain timeless and memorable to the people that were lucky enough to hear them. He was “A wild and crazy guy”.
The vacuum left by his passing is felt by his wife Judy, his kids and their spouses Kim & Chris Whitegon and Jeff & Kay Henrich, his grandkids and their spouses Barritt & Steve Burke, Brittany & Colten Foster, Max, Vivienne & Christian Thompson and Joshua, his great grand kids Lilly, Rea, Voilet, Ares and Jaina, his siblings and their spouses Christy & Tom Horan, Danny & Shelly and Johnny & Frannie Henrich, Sister-in-laws Tami Robinson and Kathy Henrich; nieces Katie Henrich and Taylor Torres, Amy Beth Robinson, Rachel Olvera and his nephews and their families Steven & Lia Henrich, Mark, Chloe & Zander Wilson and Kyle Sinnott and a lifetime of family members and friends he had an impact on.
Rest easy Tommy, dad, grandpa, great grandpa and friend. Every day was a gift with you. We will see you on the other side.
