Assisted Living Locators of Temecula Honors Lifelong Caregiver During Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month

Retired nurse Elladora Esoy-Fontelera recognized through Loved01 Cares initiative for a lifetime of compassion and service

TEMECULA, Calif.  — Assisted Living Locators of Temecula & Surrounding Areas honored retired nurse Elladora Esoy-Fontelera with the Loved01 Cares "Live Like a Legend" Caregiver Recognition Award during Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month, recognizing her lifelong dedication to caring for older adults, her family and her community.

The award was presented by Assisted Living Locators owner Liza Cerame, who selected her mother for the recognition because of her unwavering commitment to serving others throughout every stage of her life.

"My mom has dedicated her life to caring for others," Cerame said. "She worked three jobs while raising our family yet always made us feel like we came first. She compassionately cared for older adults throughout her nursing career, cared for her own mother, and today continues sharing that same love with her grandchildren. Caregiving isn't only what she did—it is who she is."

A devoted wife, mother of three, retired nurse and proud grandmother, Elladora spent decades caring for patients across Murrieta and surrounding communities. Her compassion extended well beyond the workplace as she supported multiple generations of her own family with the same selfless dedication she showed her patients.

"It was my greatest privilege to recognize my mom through the Loved01 Cares initiative," Cerame said. "She may not always hear how much she is appreciated, but her kindness, resilience and love have touched countless lives."

The Loved01 Cares "Live Like a Legend" initiative recognizes exceptional caregivers during Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month and celebrates the compassion, dedication and selflessness they demonstrate while supporting older adults and their families.

According to the Alzheimer's Association, more than 11 million Americans provide unpaid care for loved ones living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias, making caregivers an essential part of the nation's care continuum.
